“The group was able to achieve these results due to raising efficiency in all types of operating activities, sound usage of the available hydrocarbon resource base, and commissioning of new wells,” said Burisma Group CEO Taras Burdeinyi.
In particular, according to the results of 2019, Burisma Group completed boring of 14 wells, of which 10 have been put into the production and 4 are awaiting for tests. It is planned to bore 15 more wells in 2020.
According to Taras Burdeinyi, in order to increase production of Ukrainian gas the government needs to continue reforming the oil and gas sector of Ukraine.
“It is important to encourage the development of national deposits in order to increase production of Ukrainian gas. In this context, it is worth to mention the efforts of the dedicated association and amendments in the legislation aimed at encouraging the development of the gas producing industry of Ukraine and attracting investments into it,” Taras Burdeinyi said.
Mr Burdeinyi also emphasized that the gas production companies are the main source for pumping up the budget of Ukraine, and therefore a stimulative fiscal policy plays a decisive role in the development of the industry’s enterprises.
In particular, in 2019, the Burisma Group paid UAH 2.9 billion to the budgets of all levels, of which UAH 1.4 billion accounted for hydrocarbon extraction rent. This allowed the local budgets to get UAH 71 million and plan local development programs for 2020.
