Burisma Group finishing preparation to drill two wells in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions

6 October 2020

Burisma Group is keeping the leading positions on Ukraine’s drilling market. The group is currently preparing to bore another two wells, one of which is ultra-deep.

In particular, in September, preparatory works started to drill the new well No.48 at the Karaykozivske field in Kharkiv region. Its target depth is 5,900 m.

Pre-drilling activities are also underway to bore the well No.716 at the Proletarske field in Dnipropetrovsk region. The projected depth of this well is up to 3,000 m.

It is also planned to start drilling another new well at the Vodianivske field in Kharkiv region by the end of the year.

“Natural gas is the resource of essential importance for well-being of Ukrainians and country’s energy security. That is why the Group is constantly investing into innovative technologies aiming to raise the energy efficiency and versatility of business processes despite the fact that hydrocarbon production requires considerable capital investments. Moreover, the unstable situation on the global market of energy resources makes it difficult to increase gas production according to a plan», — says Burisma Group CEO Taras Burdeinyi.

Despite all this, Burisma Group continues to demonstrate the best results on the national well drilling market.

Only in the first 9 months of the year, the Group bored 8 wells with a total depth exceeding 36 kilometers! This is the distance from Kyiv to Vasylkiv, but deep into the earth!

The operations and achievements of Burisma Group are aimed at ensuring reliability of energy supplies, as well as energy and environmental security of Ukraine. Currently, despite the economic crisis caused by the expansion of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Group has been observing all the social guarantees and keeping the workplaces, and continues to fully implement its commitments to the state paying all taxes and duties in a timely manner.
