In August, Burisma Group had a visit from Kharkiv region’s school students within the children’s social care program.
Burisma group’s experts held a career guidance tour for the children to explain peculiarities of hydrocarbon extraction and transportation in Ukraine, process structuring, as well as familiarize them with modern technical equipment.
“The excursion helped expand and deepen students’ knowledge of the energy worker’s trade. The pupils saw with their own eyes where and how Ukrainian gas is produced, and how it is stored and supplied to the Ukrainian gas transportation system. They had an opportunity to ask questions they were interested in and get exhaustive answers from the Group experts,” mentioned Taras Burdeinyi, Burisma Group CEO.
Within the tour program, the school students also visited one of the canteens for Group employees, where they were treated with a delicious lunch.
Such excursions for pupils are a regular event. Burisma Group companies also see a lot of graduates of vocational-technical schools, as well as universities and colleges coming for internship.
“I hope our social project of engaging school and college students to the trade of energy experts shall have influence on the choice of their professional path in the future. Because it is very important that Ukrainian youth should stay and work in their own country,” Taras Burdeinyi added.
All in all, during the last three years, Burisma Group implemented social projects to the amount exceeding UAH 160 million.
